Choosing genitive structure in English

One of the problems when translating from Romance languages into English (and translating into English in general) is that there are different ways to express the genitive. Some of these may seem more natural than others depending on the circumstances.

Ways

• X 's Y (la filla de John → John's daughter)
• X Y (memòria de traducció → translation memory)
• Y of X (cost de vida → cost of living)
