English and Esperanto/Outstanding tests

Maŝintradukado al Esperanto: This is for the tests that doesen't work (yet).

• They are categorized according to which kind of work that needs to be done to make them work.
• When a test is working move it to English and Esperanto/Regression tests.
• If a test far-out and will (probably) never be done, it to English and Esperanto/Rejected tests.
• When the list is nearly empty, move something from English and Esperanto/Proposed future tests to here.

ACC rule misses

• (en) they can learn to recognise usernames → ili povas lerni rekoni salutnomojn
• (en) they can learn to type in and recognise their own usernames → ili povas lerni entajpi kaj rekoni iliajn proprajn salutnomojn
• (en) This page allows you to test the versions of Apertium data from SVN. → Ĉi tiu paĝo permesas vin elprovi la versiojn de Apertium datumo de SVN.

Accusative disappear on the second object disappears if it containt a negation

• (en) You can add users but not classes. → Vi povas aldoni uzantojn sed ne klasojn.

Misc ĉu

Question reordering: Case should be transfered to the first word

• (en) is the cat big? Is the cat big? IS the cat big? → ĉu la kato estas granda? Ĉu la kato estas granda? ĈU la kato estas granda?

Question should be detected and ĉu inserted

• (en) does anyone understand? → ĉu iu ajn komprenas?

Question should NOT be detected and ĉu NOT inserted (2nd part of sentence)

• (en) The resulting Civil War did serious damage. The resulting big Civil War did serious damage. → La rezultanta Civila Milito faris gravan difekton. La rezultanta granda Civila Milito faris gravan difekton.

• (en) give the dog a bone. → donu al la hundo oston.
• (en) give it an extra twist. → donu al ĝi ekstran tordaĵon.

Wrong: la domo ĉu blua estas ĉie

• (en) the house is blue everywhere → la domo estas blua ĉie

Wrong genitive: Jacobde domo

• (en) Jacob's house → la domo de Jacob
• (en) Jacob's blue house → la blua domo de Jacob
• (en) Jacob's big blue house → la granda blua domo de Jacob
• (en) We went to Jacob's house → Ni iris al la domo de Jacob

da is a preposition, so no <acc> on the following noun

• (en) I want more tea → mi deziras pli da teo

Perhaps a rule should be made that generally NEVER puts <acc> on sequence like <pr> SN. The <acc> should be put on the other SN (if any) following the SV.

Ofthen the word "that" is omitted in English after mean, say, think, ... and needs to be inserted

• (en) That means that we can provide individual reports. That means we can provide individual reports. → Tio signifas ke ni povas provizi individuajn raportojn. Tio signifas ke ni povas provizi individuajn raportojn.

Two nouns where one is with gender and one is without gender Wrong: #defendo-ministro.
