Why is it you are interested in machine translation?

       * Actually, firstly when I started to interested in about MT, I just want to improve my language translation pairs in everywhere. After that, I realize that I have really enough good impression to MT. Because, it’s like talking with machines. After the taking CSC236(Introduction to Theory of Computation) course, I really love strings, FSM and etc. And btw, I’m in the technical sphere, but in high school I just learn everything about languages like drinking water. I can proof with my grades.

Why is it that you are interested in the Apertium project?

       * It has really a little reason for me. But it will be very big thing to my country and language. Firstly, I want to spend my summer in back home. So, I can have an access to all libraries, which I can use for Apertium AZE-TR and TR-AZE pairs. And It will be very honesty thing that see your language in Apertium.

oActually, I’m studying one of the best universities in the world. So, I’m getting nearly the best computer science education. I’m in this sphere nearly more than 5 years. I’m fluent in more programming languages. And why not me?

oI’m from Azerbaijan and graduated Turkish high school. And both are my native languages. And I’m gonna spend my summer in Azerbaijan, So, I can contribute lots of things to Apertium.

· a description of how and who it will benefit in society,

oThere are more than 76 millions people in Turkey and more than 9 millions people in Azerbaijan. So, they can use it easily. Okay, there is similarity between these languages but there are lots of different stuff that in use daily life. And the most of people don’t know what’s going on. So, more than 85 millions people can use and get benefits from it. If these two languages just improve only one time, then everyone can easily improve them with other pairs. Because, they just need only one time structural design that’s it.

· and a detailed work plan (including, if possible, a brief schedule with milestones and deliverables).

oWeek 1: Starting to research about structure of AZE

oWeek 2: Grammar and linguistic analysis

oWeek 3: Developing AZE translations

oWeek 4: Testing and improving whole part with sentence structure, grammar, linguistic values
