  • born in Moscow, 1980
  • living in Israel since 1991
  • have a B.A. in General Linguistics and Hebrew language from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Studying for an M.A. in Romance studies.
  • speaking languages: Russian, English, Hebrew, Catalan. A little Italian, Spanish, French, Occitan, Latin, Lithuanian, Arabic and Amharic. As all Russian speakers, i can passively understand all Slavic languages and i don't just count on my knowledge of Russian - i actually bothered to learn some basics of the grammar of most of them. In English i like writing the pronoun "i" with a small letter in personal writing.
  • programming languages: Perl, C, C++, some hands-on experience with C#, Java, Python and PHP. Do MediaWiki and HTML count as a programming languages? Oh, and i'm probably one of the youngest people who knows DCL, the shell scripting language of the VMS operating system.
  • writing in Wikipedias in Hebrew, English and Russian and a little in Catalan and Italian. And also in the English Wikisource, where i maintain the online edition of Gesenius' Hebrew Grammar and occasionally proofread Encyclopedia Britannica 1911 articles.
