For Dummies

Quoting a reader: "to say the truth, that isn't apertium for dummies". Well, "Apertium -- an overview" would perhaps be better. But then the dummies page, how to write it? Trondtr (talk) 13:24, 1 December 2013 (GMT)

That's what I said. "How Apertium Works" could be a better idea (you may replace what I wrote there). Also, we will need this to be updated. Simplifying this overview may actually cause inaccuracies and claiming that it's "for Dummies" isn't a good idea usually. Wei2912 (talk) 13:27, 1 December 2013 (GMT)
A real for dummies would perhaps be too basic? Or like this:
        /        -- new word order etc -->
     analysis /                            -->  generate
     /        \   -- translate words -->            \
   /                                                  \
 input text                                         output text

The mt triangle, that is (!) Trondtr (talk) 13:30, 1 December 2013 (GMT).
The "dummies" part should not be read literally. It quotes a well-known book series. What is needed is an overview in principle, i.e. without file names etc. Then another overview with filenames etc, but that will be quite similar to the one on the present page.
