Apertium is a free and open source machine translation platform. You can go to Contributing to find out how to contribute to the page. Resources contains things such as a list of languages and pairs that the platform supports: Languages among much other miscellaneous information. You can also install apertium, lttoolbox, and some language pairs or just use our Apertium homepage. If you're from Google Code-in, go ahead to Task ideas for Google Code-in/Getting started. You can also adopt a wiki article by contacting a mentor through IRC.
