Generalisations[edit]
- final coronals never voice or devoice
- final p/k/q voice intervocalically in nouns only
- in some(?) Russian borrowings ending in certain "voiced" final obstruents (d, g, v, maybe j?), following consonants can devoice as if the obstruent is unvoiced. However, with many of these, both forms are attested. We'll need to analyse both and choose which to generate.
