Long form

Verb tenses and conjugations

You

• (en) You play soccer. → Você joga futebol.
• (en) You(pl.) play soccer. → Vocês jogam futebol. (how do i deal with these ambiguities?)
• (en) You will play soccer. → Você jogará futebol.
• (en) You(pl.) will play soccer. → Vocês jogarão futebol.
• (en) You played soccer. → Você jogou futebol.
• (en) You(pl.) played soccer. → Vocês jogaram futebol.
• (en) You are going to play soccer. → Você vai jogar futebol.
• (en) You are playing soccer. → Você está jogando futebol.

In addition to 2nd person plural ambiguity, in portuguese we can also use tu instead of você to translate you (sg.). Since tu has a differente conjungation, while você uses 3rd person singular, AND is is the more commom form, i think it is smart to use this form in generation. No form is really more formal than the other, AFAIK.
