A lexical unit (or lexical form) is a word or a group of "words" acting as a single word. It may be in its surface form or in its lexical form.
- lemma or citation form,
- lexical category
- inflection indicators
For instance, the lexical form corresponding to the Spanish surface form cantaríais (you-PL would sing) would be
- cantar
- verb
- conditional, 2nd person, plural
