A lexical unit (or lexical form) is a word or a group of "words" acting as a single word. It may be in its surface form or in its lexical form.

  1. lemma or citation form,
  2. lexical category
  3. inflection indicators

For instance, the lexical form corresponding to the Spanish surface form cantaríais (you-PL would sing) would be

  1. cantar
  2. verb
  3. conditional, 2nd person, plural
